Is Hair Dance cruelty-free?

We have always been and will be a 100% cruelty-free brand.

Are all of your products vegan-friendly?

All of our products are vegan-friendly, except for our Moisture and Strength Conditioner, which contains silk protein, and our Ultra-Light Instant Conditioning Spray in Lemongrass, which contains marine protein. 

Where are Hair Dance products formulated and made?

We're proudly formulated and made in the USA.

What's unique about Hair Dance's formulations?

Our healthy haircare combines the best of ancient wisdom and nature's healing ingredients to restore and maintain scalp and hair vitality. Our mission is to formulate accessible, effective beauty under our strict 13-free standard: no animal testing, parabens, sulfates, silicones, phtalates, DEAs, artificial fragrances, artificial dyes, petroleum, aluminum, talc, mineral oil, triclosans, or alcohols.

Where is my order? It says it is still in transit.

We are not responsible for any delays associated with shipping and we are unable to see more tracking information than you have been provided with with your tracking number. We kindly ask that you reach out to USPS or UPS directly for more information regarding transit and delivery times with your order. If you have any further issues, please contact us and we wil submit a case through USPS/UPS.

What payment methods may I use to complete my order?

We currently accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, AfterPay, and PayPal. We are working on adding new payment methods, as well.

How do I know if my order was successfully placed?

You should receive a confirmation email with your order receipt and order #. If you can't find it in your inbox, please check your spam/junk folder. If you still can't find it, please get in touch by emailing anna@myhairdance.com

Can I change or cancel my order?

If you have any order change/cancellation requests, please reach out to anna@myhairdance.com as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been processed, we will do our best to accommodate your requests. If your order has already been processed and shipped, please refer to our return policy.

Who should I reach out to about credit charges? 

Please reach out to anna@myhairdance.com and share your first and last name, order #, and any important details so we can best assist you. If you have unknown or multiple charges on your banking statement, you might need to reach out to your bank further to assist, but we will do our best to help in the meantime. 

International Orders

Where can I purchase your products if I am not based in the US?

We are working hard to make Hair Dance accessible globally for our international friends! For now, our products can be purchased online at MyHairDance.com,Amazon US, and through select international retailers. Please check here for a list of our authorized retail partners and sellers. If you see Hair Dance being sold on an illegitimate website, we kindly ask you to please reach out to anna@myhairdance.com with details. 

My package has shipped, but has not yet been delivered. I've been waiting for it to arrive for a long time. Can I get a refund? 

We are so sorry to hear that your package has not been delivered, yet! Unfortunately, we are not in control of shipping delays. We are unable to issue a refund if your package is still in transit. As a small business, we appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate these delays.

Does Hair Dance offer discounts, promotions, and sales on its products? 

We sure do! Please subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom of our website and follow us on our social media channels to stay in-the-know about all the latest and greatest with Hair Dance. Please note that we typically only allow one discount code per order. Certain exclusions may apply

Can I use more than one discount code on my order?

At this time, we only allow the use of one discount code per order.

Do you offer free samples?

Occasionally, we offer free gifts or samples with purchases, but that is subject to availability. 

Products

Does the Volumizing Dry Shampoo blend into dark and black hair colors?

Yes, it does! In fact, our Founder + President both have brown and black hair and it blends in perfectly for them. We recommend grabbing a bundle of hair and applying the dryshampoo right at the root where any residue wouldn't be visible. That way, when you lay the bundle of hair back down, residue shouldn't be showing. Some of our customers give the dryshampoo a minute (or a few) to absorb the excess oils before gently massaging it in at the root and then brushing it out, while others start massaging the product in and/or brushing it out immediately to blend the powder in.

How long does the Volumizing Dry Shampoo last?

It can range anywhere from 5 months to over a year, depending on how often and how much you use the product. 

What kind of medium is the Volumizing Dry Shampoo?

Our Volumizing Dry Shampoos are all powder-based and aerosol-free. 

Is the Volumizing Dry Shampoo suitable for keratin-treated hair and/or curly hair?

Yes, it's suitable for both (and all hair types!). 

What kind of Silica is used in the Volumizing Dry Shampoos?

Our Volumizing Dry Shampoos contains a non-crystalline Silica that adds a beautiful boost of body to the hair.

Why do you use Cetyl Alcohol in some of your product formulations?

We've carefully formulated with Cetyl Alcohol, as it is a fatty-based alcohol derived from vegetables and does not cause drying like traditional Alcohols used in the beauty industry. Cetyl Alcohol helps to condition the hair, leaving it looking and feeling touchably smooth and healthier. 

Is Hair Dance 100% organic?

While our formulations are all-natural, not every single ingredient used is organic. We always use organic ingredients in our formulations when available. 

My hair tends to not like protein. Which shampoo and conditioner should I try first?

Are your products color-safe?

Yes! We formulate without sulfates, which are known for fading color treatments in hair. 

Do your products work for curly, kinky, and/or coarse hair textures?

Yes! Our products were formulated with scalp and hair health for all hair types and textures in mind. Our products are especially loved among curly hair types. Shipping

My package has shipped, but has not yet been delivered. I've been waiting for it to arrive for a long time. Can I get a refund?

How much does it cost to ship within the US? 

At this time, we offer USPS First Class Mail, USPS Priority Mail, and USPS Priority Mail Express. All orders of $50 or more (before tax and shipping costs) are eligible for free USPS First Class Mail. 

How much does it cost to ship outside the US?

Currently, we are able to ship outside of the US, but shipping costs are based on weight and can be expensive for the customer. Please check here for a list of our authorized retail partners and sellers to see if there is a closer store that can ship to you. 

How long will it take for my order to get to me?

If you're ordering from the US, you should receive your order within 2-17 business days once it has been processed and shipped. Any shipment delays and/or issues are out of our control and will likely need to be dealt directly with USPS, but please feel free to email anna@myhairdance.com and we will do what we can to best assist you. 

My order says it has been "delivered" but it's nowhere to be found. Can you help me locate my package? 

While it is rare, sometimes USPS may mark a package "delivered", only for it to be delivered a few days later. We ask that you kindly wait 72 hours after it has been marked "delivered" to see if it shows up. If you haven't received your order within this time frame, please reach out to us at anna@myhairdance.com and we will do what we can to best assist you. Please note that Hair Dance is not responsible for lost/stolen orders or orders where the customer has provided the incorrect address. 

Will Hair Dance be paying any applicable customs/duty fees on behalf of my order?

While we wish we could, we're unable to. You may be liable to pay any local sales taxes and customs duties on arrival of your order. You are responsible for paying these costs, in order for your package to be delivered. We recommend looking into this before place an international order, if you foresee it being an issue.

Exchanges and Returns

What is your return policy?

As a small business, striving for 100% customer satisfaction is important to us. We apologize, but we are unable to credit shipping costs. Travel-friendly size products, bundles, pillowcases, and sets are NOT eligible for return. You may return or exchange any eligible (unopened and unused) items by mail within 30 days of you receiving your order for a refund to the payment used or for store credit. We reserve the right to deny any return/exchanges or to cancel future orders from customers we perceive to be misusing/abusing our return/exchange policy. 

How do I start an exchange/return?

Please email anna@myhairdance.com and we will start working on any applicable exchanges/returns for you. Please allow 7-10 days for your returned merchandise to arrive and be processed. Once received, we will issue a return/credit to you. Please note that every bank's processing time is different, so there may be a waiting period before the refund posts to your bank/credit account.

Do you accept returns from your retail partners or Amazon?

We are a small business and work very hard to make our customers 100% happy. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please reach out to us directly first so that we may help resolve your concerns!
